A plaque whose outline bubbles all the way round in scallops, with a half sun climbing over a horizon line at the top and long tapering rays fanning out between short dashes and dots. THE·SUN, WILL·RISE, AGAIN fill the lower two thirds in chunky outlined capitals with raised dots between the words, and small five-point stars are scattered into the gaps at the corners. Shown cast in a sandy tan. Those rays are the shallowest cut on the whole piece and the first thing a heavy sanding takes off, so go gently across the top.
