Ballet Slipper Mold – Pointe Shoe with Ribbons & Bow

A pointe shoe stood upright on its toe box, the binding drawn across the instep and two ribbons crossing over the ankle in a neat X before a big looped bow ties it off at the top. It is cut out to its own outline rather than sat on a backing. The bow is the deepest part of the carving and the toe the shallowest, so pour into the bow end and let it run down — the fine ribbon crossings fill last that way and stay sharp.
