A round mound of spaghetti wound back over itself, every strand cut separately so they cross, dip under one another and spill loose over the rim, with meatballs settled down into the tangle — seven of them, surfaces left rough the way a real one looks. There is a great deal of undercut in all that noodle, so a slow pour and a firm tap on the bench does better than trying to fill it quickly. The meatballs are the high points and take a dry-brush beautifully.
