Ham Hock Mold – Sliced Ham with Bone, Food Casting

A thick oval slice of ham seen face on, with the round bone sitting just off centre, marrow opening and all, and a curved seam separating a smaller lobe of meat from the main body. Deep and chunky through the middle, tapering a little at the rim. There is a lot of flat surface on it, which makes it a good candidate for a pale pink pour with a rust-brown wash rubbed into the seam and around the bone.
