San Francisco Mold – California State with Landmarks

The outline of California standing in for the city: the Golden Gate Bridge strung across the top with its towers and cables picked out, a cable car rolling along below it complete with windows and wheels, San Francisco written in script through the middle, and a row of city buildings along the lower edge. All of it is shallow engraved line work on a plain raised blank, which is exactly the sort of carving a wash was made for — cast it pale, flood thinned grey across the face and wipe the surface back.
